Pilot Numbers:

Maximum of 70 pilots. Please note, your place will not be confirmed until your payment has been received.

   
Entry Fee:

$120

($120 if paid before December 1. Late fee of $30= $150 after)
Includes registration, T shirt and presentation night dinner.   

Please note any refund must be negotiated with the comp organiser before December 1 so as to be able to allocate the spot to another pilot on the waiting list. 

   
Min. Requirements:

Valid HGFA membership
Inland experience with (preferably) intermediate rating
Recently repacked parachute
Vario

GPS (for scoring - with data PC connectivity)
Recommended: UHF Radio

   
Comp HQ: Courthouse Hotel in the middle of town
   
Registration: From 7 pm 1st of January (Saturday evening)-  in the Courthouse Hotel

Competition Classes:


1.  Open Class - topless and kingpost will fly the same task
2.  Floater Class - Novice competition pilots flying novice gliders (Fun, Sting, Malibu, Falcon, etc.)  will fly a separate Floater task. NB: Due to the nature of this comp, top ranking pilots (who have represented their country in international comps) are asked to fly novice or intermediate type gliders in the open class.

Open class: 1st, (Chuck Conner Trophy- Open class) 2nd & 3rd 
Floater class: 1st, 2nd & 3rd 
Kingpost class (flying in Open): 1st
Most improved pilot, Veteran pilot, Best Female pilot

Daily Morning Briefing: The first briefing will be at Comp HQ at 9:00am.  Please be sure to attend the first one as YOU will be voting in the task and safety committees.  The time for subsequent daily briefings will be set dependent on the conditions.
   
Committees:  The task committee will be selected from experienced pilots flying in the competition.  This committee will be made up of 4 pilots of which at least one will be representing the floater class. We will also have a safety and complaints committee.

1.  Open Window
2.  Open Class Ordered launch, Top 20 in reverse
3.  Floater Class Ordered launch Top 5 in reverse

Scoring system:

Tasks will be scored from your GPS units.  You will be required to hand in your GPS and completed landing forms each day. (Please ensure that your name is on your GPS!)  If you do not fly you should still complete a landing form so we know you are safe.

GPS reminder: Please bring a lead for connecting your GPS to the scoring PC.
